Format & logistics

How We’ll Work Together

CredX is intentionally designed to be:

Participatory

You won’t just listen; you’ll be invited to contribute.

Hybrid-friendly

In-person and online participants are both part of the conversation.

Facilitated

Sessions are guided to support focus, inclusion, and momentum.

Expect a mix of

  • Short talks and panels
  • Table and small-group conversations
  • Whole-group synthesis moments
  • Structured opportunities to reflect, prioritize, and connect

Outputs & takeaways

  • Clear themes and priorities that emerged from collective dialogue
  • Greater clarity on where action or partnership may be possible
  • A stronger network of people working on related challenges
  • Post-event synthesis that captures key insights and directions

CredX is designed to support movement from ideas to pilots, partnerships, or next steps — without forcing premature solutions.

Comfort & access

Comfort, Access & Participation

Photography opt-out

From time to time a photographer is present at in-person CredX events, capturing images for our digital properties and promotional materials. Attendees are always able to decline the media release of photos. Red lanyards denote an attendee who does not want to be photographed.

Seating

We provide dedicated easy-access and accessible seating at all in-person events, including seating near entrances, exits, and speakers, so everyone has an equal opportunity to take part.

Accessibility at VCC

Vancouver Community College has a range of accessibility features, including accessible and single-stall washrooms (though not on every floor), wheelchair ramps, and elevators throughout the building. If you have specific access needs or questions ahead of the event, get in touch so we can support your participation as best we can.

Taking care of yourself

Take care of yourself in whatever ways feel best — stepping out for a few minutes, standing at the back of the room, stretching, getting fresh air, or taking a break when you need one.

Online participation

CredX is designed as a hybrid event from the start, with online participation fully built into the experience — not as an add-on. Virtual participants can join live sessions and engage in the ways that work for them. Breakout rooms are optional, and you’re always welcome to listen in, observe, or step away as needed.

Everyone welcome

Code of Conduct

CredX is committed to creating a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming environment for everyone — in person and online.

As an event hosted by Vancouver Community College, CredX aligns with VCC’s Prevention of Harassment, Discrimination, and Bullying policy. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or harmful behaviour — including behaviour based on identity, background, or lived experience — is not acceptable.

We expect all participants to engage with care, professionalism, and respect for different perspectives. That includes listening openly, participating in good faith, and contributing to a space where people feel safe to learn and connect.

If you experience or witness behaviour that goes against these expectations, please let the CredX team know so we can respond with care and take appropriate action.
